How it all started...

Hi! I'm Caitie, the artist behind Leisurely Life. I have been working with clay continuously for the past 3 years, but discovered this artform my junior year of high school. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have my own studio; that is until my grandparents surprised me with two used kilns and a potter's wheel. The rest is pretty much history.

I have always wanted to have my own business; I grew up watching my dad run his and always felt it was the right path for me.

In late 2019, I finished setting up my ceramic studio with the help of my family. This is when I got to work learning how to throw on the potter's wheel. After a few weeks of practice, I started working on the very first pieces I ever made in my own studio.

It has been a few years since getting my studio in place and now I am ready to turn this side hustle into a full-fledged business. Leisurely Life has been born and is ready to fill your homes with beautiful artwork.

Leisurely Life is a woman-owned brand that focuses on creating and curating beautiful lifestyle pieces that you will cherish. Our ceramics are made with high quality stoneware clay. They are thrown, trimmed, slowly dried, bisque fired, hand glazed and glaze fired. This process results in each piece being unique. This whole process takes me between 2-3 weeks.
